July is here! That means the Christmas fabrics are coming in. There are some great fabrics this year. It's not too early to start those Christmas projects and quilts.
Christmas in July Sale
Speaking of Christmas, we will have a Christmas in July Sale! One day only Sat. July 22nd, all Christmas fabric will be 25% off, Christmas books & patterns will be 10% off. What a great time to get those Christmas projects going.
Idea Saturday
Idea Saturday is July 15th at 9am sharp. Come by and get those creative juices flowing. As always we will have free project sheets for each of the ideas presented & refreshments will be served.
Idea Saturday is an "open house" event where we present several ideas for some of our favorite projects. We will have free project sheets for each one presented. It is a great opportunity to get acquainted with us and meet other quitlers from the area.
Log Cabin Sampler Block of the Month
The Log Cabin block of the month just started, it is available in 2 color ways, either brights or pastels. The cost is $18.49 per month for 12 months. This price includes all fabrics for the sashing, border and binding! If you pay in full when you sign up you will get 1 month free! What a great time to start a new BOM this summer! We are happy to announce we now carry YLI hand quilting thread in 25 colors. If you're a hand quilter you will love this thread, it is some of the best available.
Wild Wild West Shop Hop
Thanks to all who participated in the Wild Wild West Shop Hop. Congratulations, to Mary Heath who won our Shop Hop quilt! All the winners are listed on the web site www.wildwildwestshophop.com. It was great fun seeing all the hoppers and meeting so many new friends!
That Quilter
"That Quilter" Donna Warnament will be here Tuesday July 11th from 10am-Noon. (Note: This month she is here on the 2nd Tuesday due to July 4th being the 1st Tuesday) Bring your quilt tops to Donna for her to machine quilt. She does beautiful work and you will get your quilt back the following 1st Tuesday.
Quilt Pink Update
We are receiving some wonderful Quilt Pink blocks! We have received 50 blocks so far! Thank you! We will be collecting Quilt Pink blocks through September 23rd. The blocks need to be predominately pink & up to 12 inch square. All we ask is for you to enjoy making them and bring them by the shop. There are also Quilt Pink block kits available for $3.00 each. Quilt Pink Program Information
We are participating in the Quilt Pink program this summer. We are honored to be a part of this wonderful event to help in the fight against breast cancer, but we need your help. We are asking our customers to please make at least 1 Quilt Pink block. It can be any size, but the only restriction is that it be predominately pink.
We have put together Quilt Pink block kits and they are available for $3 each. Each kit includes fabric and several free block patterns. These are just ideas, you can make any block pattern you wish. We will hang them in the shop as we receive them. Our goal is to have lots and lots of Quilt Pink blocks hanging in the shop. We will be accepting blocks between June 1st and Sept. 23rd. You can bring them by the shop, mail them to the shop or have a friend bring them. Then on Sunday Sept. 24th from 2-8pm we will have a sew-in at Gethsemane Lutheran Church to put the blocks into Quilt Pink tops! On Saturday Sept. 30th we will host a Quilt Pink open house. We are hoping our wonderful customers will come by and pick up the tops to quilt and bind them and bring them back by Jan. 31, 2007. We will then ship them to American Patchwork and Quilting Magazine to be auctioned off online in May 2007! All proceeds of the auction are going to breast cancer research. We can't do this alone, so please consider making a Quilt Pink block. For more info contact us at the shop or go to www.quiltpink.com.
Summer Class Schedule Now Online!
This summer, why not take a class at the shop. The summer class schedule is ready to view on the web site or come by the shop for a copy. We are offering more classes this summer than we ever have before. If you have been thinking about taking a class, be sure to check out the list.
Thimbleberries Club Meeting
The Thimbleberries club will meet Friday July 14th from 6-7pm or Sunday July 9th from 2-3pm.
Frequent Buyer Card
We have started a frequent buyer card to benefit our wonderful customers. We will keep the cards on file here at the shop. When you spend $500, you will receive a $50 gift certificate from SunFlower Quilts! Come by and ask us about the details for the frequent buyer card.
The shop will be closed Monday and Tuesday July 3rd and 4th for the 4th of July holiday. We hope you are having a great summer and have a blessed July 4th holiday and be sure to put our troops in your prayers!
