June is here!
Wow the half-year mark, it has gone so fast. June is a very busy month for us; we are getting ready for the 4th Annual Wild Wild West Shop Hop! We have been working on our free gift to give just for stopping by during the shop hop. We think you will be excited to get it and it is very useful for all of our sewing projects, besides that, its attractive! So don’t forget to come and pick yours up! Plus, if you visit all 9 shops and turn in your passport, you are eligible for some great prizes! For instance there will be 2 Grand Prizes this year! Two lucky winners will receive either a Babylock Xscape sewing machine or a Janome Jem Platinum 760 sewing machine. So get those shop hoppin’ shoes on! Don’t forget to take your Ovarian cancer 12 ½” unfinished blocks to any of the 9 shops. Remember this shop hop is dedicated to getting the info out about Ovarian Cancer. SIDEWALK SALE!
We are having a Sidewalk Sale on Saturday June 9th from 9am – 4pm. We are cleaning out our store room to make room for all the new fabric that is arriving soon! Fabric cuts, fat ¼’s, kits, books, patterns and gift items will all be on sale on the sidewalk with great prices! Come early to get the best pick!
EXCITING NEWS
You can now shop online! Our online shop is open and ready to take your orders! Just go to our web site and click on the online shop. Check it often as we are adding items to it daily. If you can’t find what your looking for just ask us, as we don’t have everything listed yet.
Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam
We will start a new Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam embroidered BOM on June15th. All information regarding the cost will be available then. We are so excited about the new BOM, the setting is our own design!
New fabrics
From Moda- Christmas fabrics from 3 Sisters called Roman Holiday; from Figtree Quilts called A Yuletide Blessing; From Deb Strain called Let it Snow, Let it Snow, from Holly Taylor called Tamarack Grove, from Sentimental Studios called Deck the Halls. Plus charm packs and jelly rolls!
From RJR fabrics- A pretty line called Sweet as a Rose, it has beautiful pinks and a very light green with paisleys and rose flowers, you have to see it! From Baum textiles a beautiful vintage reproduction look called Sigourney by Anna Griffen, beautiful vintage flowers with birds plus great coordinates!
Some new jelly roll books from Design Originals, 3 new books that are filled with great patterns for quilts and projects that are fun to make with the precut 2 ½” strips called jelly rolls!! We just ordered lots of new books and patterns for Jelly Rolls and Charm Packs, so keep checking with us. They should arrive soon!
Idea Saturday
Thanks for all who came to Idea Saturday! We had some great Ideas. Be sure to mark your calendars for the next “Idea Saturday” July 21st at 9am sharp!
Class Schedule
We are working on our class schedule and will resume classes in August. As classes become finalized, we will list them on the classes page of the web, site so keep checking.
That Quilter
“That Quilter” Donna Warnement will be here on the first Tuesday, June 5th from 10am – 12noon. Bring your quilt tops for quilting or come pick one up, or just come to see all the beautiful quilts, it’s a wonderful show and tell. You will be inspired!
Thimbleberries Club News
The Thimbleberries club will meet Sunday June 10th from 2-3pm. The Friday meeting is the second Friday, May 8th from 6 – 7pm.
Moda University
Moda U meets Sat. June 30th at 4pm. Come get your 11th block and free extra project.
Flower of the Month BOM
The “Flower of the Month” BOM April kits are ready.
Log Cabin BOM
The last Log Cabin BOM is ready, since this is our last block you will also receive the finishing kit fabrics and directions. It’s hard to believe its been a year already!
Quilt Pink Update
There are a few of the quilts from our shop to view, they were supposed to let us know before they put them on, but did not. So we just need to keep checking the auctions every week. Have a wonderful June and thanks for being our customers!
